What a great couple of weeks!
Thursday, May 28, 2015
Starting with the annual scholarship luncheon, where we had alumna Vonnetta Wingo '14 and current student HunterCarlhim come back and share their stories of success about how the program helped them.
Then we moved on to the Women of RMU luncheon, and our guest speaker Diane Person '85. Her topic for the event was "Women in Transition: Making Smart Decisions," and attracted over 85 alumnae and friends of the university. Additionally we had the fourth annual Making Connections evening, where students and alumni came together for mock interviews, training, and hearing about the world of work from alumni.
Then senior week was fast approaching. The weather changed from cold and overcast to warm and sunny, which led to a fantastic week of activities. Our alumni-in-training, as we refer to them, started the week off with a magic show and hypnosis act by fellow alum Jason Christopher.
The week ended with a beautiful day of celebration as we held a breakfast for current legacy students and their families, and for our Golden Colonials. We welcomed over 800 new graduates to a lifetime spot in the RMU Alumni Association! As we like to say, "We are 45,000 strong and RMU alumni for life!"
Lets go Bobby Mo!
